Winter Worlds is an Iconic road racing series held on the outskirts of Christchurch.

 

Winter Worlds provides ALL RIDERS a simple, safe and fun opportunity to race during Winter and have a blast doing it.

RACE INFORMATION.

 

 

What:

Road bike racing for everyone.

42 km’s of flat-out fun.

8 Grades. A - E, 'No Drop', Women's & Development Grade.

 

Where:

Racing starts in Prebbleton, outside the Bridge Restaurant and Bar.

Plenty of parking available at the rear of The Bridge.

 

When:

Get amongst it every Sunday for 11 weeks every Winter.

Series starts Sunday, May 13th, 2018.

Rider sign on from 9:30 am.

 A Grade starts promptly at 10:30 am, with 2 minutes between each grade.

 Cancellations/delayed starts will be posted on Facebook by 9.00am on Sunday mornings.

 

Who:

Open to anyone 15 years and over.

No requirement for club membership or racing license.

First-time racers welcome.

Not 15 yet - Development Grade (shortened course of 15k) is for you!

How:

$20 paid at sign-on (cash only - no EFTPOS); $10 for Development and school students.

$50 paid at sign-on gets you and 2 or more of your family to the start line.

$200 allows you to save money and punish yourself for all 13 races of the series.

 

Course:

The Winter Worlds course is flat, fast and easy to follow.  All intersections and turns are controlled by marshalls. PLEASE NOTE that the start and finish are in different locations.

It’s a short ride back to the start once you are finished.
