Sector Six Race 2
Winter Worlds Sector Six
Short laps. Fast racing. One gravel sector every lap.
Before the main Holmes Solutions Winter Worlds series kicks off in July, we’re testing something a little different out at Tai Tapu.
Winter Worlds Sector Six is a short-course race based around a fast 5.5 km lap starting and finishing near Raspberry Café. It is mainly tarseal, with one 750 metre gravel sector each lap to keep everyone honest.
- It is not a full gravel race.
- It is not cyclocross.
- It is Winter Worlds with a little bit of loose stuff and a lot of potential for people to suddenly become tyre-pressure experts.
Race dates
- Sunday 7 June
- Sunday 21 June
Racing starts at 2:00 pm.
Online entry is $25.
Same-day entry is $30, because admin chaos is not a free service.
Why race it?
Counts towards the Winter Worlds points series
Short, sharp racing before the July road series
Newbies, C Grade, B Grade, and A Grade options
Café registration and short prizegiving after racing
A fresh course that could help shape the future of Winter Worlds
We need 50 riders minimum for these races to go ahead, so if you want it to happen, get entered early.
